The Gambel oak is a little scrubby white oak native to the intermountain west, which means this vase has a lot of similarities to other white oaks! It’s heavy, it’s hard, it’s got cool ray flecks, lots of sapwood and inviting shades of brown and tan. Lots of natural cracks in there offering even more character, too.
